Mock Drill to Check Earthquake Preparedness
Amity College of Nursing, Amity University Gurgaon organized Mock Drill to Check Earthquake Preparedness on 21st December 2017 at Civil Hospital Gurgaon with the support of National Disaster Management Authorities aims to sensitize the general public about safety measures they can take in case of an earthquake and evaluate the preparedness of disaster management agencies.
Dr Pranati Barua briefed that with the support from professional agencies National Disaster Management Authorities, students got the opportunities to learn how to act as various situations emerging out of the depicting earthquake demands and gained knowledge regarding Triage codes used during disaster management and care provided to them. To make the activity more interactive and effective, a demonstration session was also performed in three groups of students with 5 students in each group in which the first group got trained to treat the severely injured patients, second group got trained to manage patients with minor injuries and third group got trained to manage the dead patients.
