Industry Connect & Technical Talk on “A Novel Plant Growth Promoter For Sustainable Agriculture By Using Waste Human Hair”

Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized an industry connect meet with by Er. Pankaj L. Ambule (Director) and Er. Sonul D. Bodhane (Dy. Managing Director) Floritech Organo Industries, New Nandanwan, Nagpur on 8thNovember 2017 for a technical talk on “A Novel Plant Growth Promoter for Sustainable Agriculture by using waste human Hair”.

In his welcome address Dr Rajendra Prasad, Dean (Research) AUH, Director AIB, while interacting with the B.Tech and M.Tech Final year students, faculty members and speaker said that institute will encourage its B.Tech students to learn and adapt agro-based technology in collaboration with the company and conduct some basic research at Amity University for comparison under different vegetable and horticultural crops trails”. Dr Machiavelli Singh proposed that B.Sc. & B.Tech students will do field trials on the efficacy of the fertilizer dosage under Haryana soil.

Er. Bodhane (Dy. Managing Director) in his session told the students and the faculty member that more than five states across the nation farming community is getting benefited by using their Plant Force product for a range of foliar applications in cotton, soybean, brinjal, cucumbers and other fruit crops towards sustainable agriculture. He shared the vision of his company “Grow Organic For Healthy Life” for setting up one reliable source of best quality organic based products with the highest quality and affordable prices for the better economic growth of farmers. Er, Bodhane had also discussed on the thematic area "A Novel Plant Growth Promoter for Sustainable Agriculture by Using Waste Human Hair".

Er. Pankaj L. Ambule (Director) briefed that the company is committed to consistent innovation and development of new products in Agro field to meet farmers requirement and demands of organic farming. The product is a mixture of various Amino Acids derived from the Natural resource (Waste human hair) which enhance the yield of all types of the crop through the foliar or drenching application. He said that "The product is totally reliable, authorized by MGIRI Wardha and established which is very much useful in the field of horticulture and agriculture that suits the need of our developing nation".

In a brief meeting with Prof (Dr) P B Sharma (Vice Chancellor), Er. Bodhane and Er. Pankaj L. Ambule had shared their views on usage of protein hydrolysate-based biofertiliser to be tested under a planned study as field trails project in the agricultural and horticultural fields at Amity under the proposed MOU. The company will promote participation of students by providing summer internships at Nagpur plant and skilling workshops to learn innovative technologies in agro-biotech sector.
