Patented Technology of ‘Herbal Mosquito Repellant’ developed by Eminent Scientists of Amity University transferred to M/s Sway Herbal Healthcare

Technology Transfer of ‘Herbal Mosquito Repellent’ patented by eminent scientists of Amity took place today at University campus, Sector 125 Noida. The technology is developed by Dr. Dhan Prakash, Head of Institution and Dr. Charu Gupta, Associate Eminent from Amity Institute for Herbal Research & Studies.

Briefing about the technology, Dr. Dhan Prakash, Head, Amity Institute for Herbal Research & Studies said that this novel formulation contains herbal ingredients and essential oils that are safe and effective, pleasantly perfumed without causing any irritation to the skin and has a long lasting effect. He apprised that the formulation is suitable for external application in the form of Agarbatti, dhoop-batti, candles or cones, particularly for rural areas where electricity is interrupted.

Dr. W Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation informed that an NDA-MTA was signed on May 2019 between Amity University and M/s Sway Herbal Healthcare. He added that as a part of the process, formulation and technology was transferred today to the company.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Arun Gupta, CEO, M/s Sway Herbal Healthcare said that the company manufactures a wide range of ayurvedic & herbal products which are free of harmful chemicals. He expressed his hope for a fruitful collaboration with Amity University and mentioned that both the organizations work with the same vision of fulfilling the societal needs through frugal innovations.
