Seminar on “FASHION & TEXTILES INDUSTRY 4.0- OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES” organized at Amity
“Change is constant. Growth is optional the mantra I believe in”, shared Mr. Ram Sareen, Head Coach-Founder, Tukatech, USA during a seminar organized by Amity School of Fashion Technology, under Amity Directorate of Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts/ Visual Arts on the theme- “FASHION & TEXTILES INDUSTRY 4.0- OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES”. Mr Sareen talked about his views on the subject of Strategies for Collaboration (Industry – Academicia) to put industry 4.0 concepts to practice & Industry expectations from Fashion Professionals at a seminar organized at Amity University
Mr Sareen pointed out to the students various nuances to succeed in the fashion industry and advised them to be flexible and agile and make them competent enough to think and understand quickly to achieve success in the industry.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi, DG, Amity Directorate of Applied Arts/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Visual Arts informed the guests how Amity University has been constantly engaged in organizing similar activities to get the students to interact with the industry. “We are constantly improvising and creating such platforms to send industry ready professionals,” shared Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi.
Mr. Anil Peshwari, Vice President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster & MD, Meenu Creations spoke about the ‘New Opportunities in Fashion & Textiles Sector’ and shared with the students how Industry 4.0 will create a number of opportunities in the fashion industry and this was the right moment for the students to find their right career paths. “Industry 4.0 will see humans and machines collaborate to create new employment opportunities,” said Mr Peshawari.
Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson (ASFT, ASFA & ASPA) encouraged students to make the best use of this industry academic presence and gain informative insights about the future of fashion and textile industry.
Also present on the occasion was Mr. Nitin Gupta, Executive Vice President, Technology & Marketing, Asmara International who spoke about ‘Accelerating product development in Industry 4.0 world’ and Prof.(Dr.) Prabir Jana, Shahi Chair Professor Industry 4.0, NIFT who talked about ‘Education 4.0 – Fashion & Apparel’.
