Speaking on the occasion, Rtn Deepak Gupta, District Governor Elect, Rotary International District 3012 commended on expecting 1200 Units of blood during the 3 day camp, and clarified that this would save at least 4000 lives including using the sub-components of the blood. Calling the present young generation as more benevolent than previous generations, he remarked that previously, people were taught to be self-sufficient, hence making them somewhat self-centric but the present generation is more aware and is concerned about overall societal development. Rtn Gupta opined that social enterprise is on the rise amongst today’s youth and innovative entrepreneurs, and socially-conscious ventures will be the way of the future. He advised to always contribute well towards the society because only the good deeds possessed by a man are remembered and not the materialistic possessions.
