Evolving Teaching Strategies on conservation of Natural Resources

Amity Institute of Education organised a One Day Seminar cum Workshop on Evolving Teaching Strategies on conservation of Natural Resources on 19th March 2019 sponsored by Indian Oil Cooperation, in which 58 various teachers from different government schools of Delhi /NCR participated.

The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries like Mr. Mayank Kumar- Manager, Indian Oil Corporation, Noida, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Principal, Rashtriya Pratibha Vikas Vidhalaya, Dlehi, Mrs. Ameeta Mohan, Principal, Amity International School, PV, Delhi, Dr. S.P.Singh, Director, Amity School of Natural Resources, Sustainable Development & Amity Institute of Global Warming and education studies, Prof.( Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Acting Director, AIPS& Mentor, AIE, Brig. Arjan Dutta Brig. Retd. Arjan Dutta Director, Amity SSB Academy, Amity Institute of Leadership and Communication & AIMCW and Maj Gen. Bhaskar Chakravarty, Director Admissions. Participants were from different govt. schools of Delhi/NCR.

The event started at 10.00 am at L-3 Auditorium with the welcome address by Head AIE Prof. (Dr.) Alka Muddgal. Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia offered a token of gratitude by presenting Tulsi saplings to the esteemed guests- Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Mr. Mayank Kumar and Mrs. Ameeta Mohan.

In her address Head, AIE focused on conservation of natural resources and reviving our own Indian culture & tradition. She emphasized on realizing the importance of nature. It was followed by an address by Dr. S.P.Singh, Director, Amity School of Natural Resources, Sustainable Development & Amity Institute of Global Warming and education studies where he talked about the theme.

Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Prinicipal RPVV, Delhi addressed the audience on how to formulate teaching strategies on conservation of natural resources to make students aware. Mrs. Ameeta Mohan, Principal, Amity School, PV, Delhi, addressed the gathering by a small activity of stretching up and energized everyone. She focused on how teachers and facilitators should take a stand to save climate and resources. Mr. Mayank Kumar, Manager, Indian Oil Corporation, highlighted his views on how to save natural resources by conserving the available resources. Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Mentor AIE and Acting Director AIPS addressed the gathering about the ways through which conservation of energy can take place.
