Amity Finishing School, Noida organizes ‘Adavitha – The Fund Raiser Event’
The students of Amity Finishing School (AFS), Amity University, Noida took a noble stance by organizing ‘Adavitha’ to raise funds for the underprivileged children, orphans of an NGO. A food stall was setup at the H- block (Amity Noida Campus) for Amitians who savored the flavor of Vada Pav and Chaach prepared by the students of AFS.
Jaishree Chauhan, Chairman, Amity Finishing School expressed that imbibing human values in our students has always been the prime concern of Amity. We want that all our students must step forward and create a positive difference in the society. “Our efforts are toward helping these children in every possible manner and that they should not feel helpless at such a young age. This fund raiser event is our small endeavor to bring smile on the faces of these beautiful children.”
Ms. Shipra Sharma, Assistant Director, AFS apprised that we are trying to inculcate the culture of social service and community outreach in our students, so that they could actively contribute in the development of our society. “We want our students to develop not just professionally but personally as well”, she added.
Maanya and Zileni, students of Amity Finishing School expressed that they were glad to get an opportunity to help the children who are really in need of resources. “We intend to provide them with stationery, books, notebooks and other essential things which would help them in their education. There is nothing more gratifying than working for the underprivileged and the needy who are as valuable to the society as we are.”
Students were enthusiastic about the sale proceedings since all their food stuff was sold out by the afternoon even though they had targeted to finish by the end of the day
