Residential Professional Development Training Programme commences at Amity University

A 22 member Delegation Master Trainer from Indonesia (sponsored by Govt. of Indonesia) will be undergoing a Residential Professional Development Training Programme at Amity University Sector 125 Noida.

Welcoming the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Sajnani, Director, Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism shared that the 18 day training programme will focus on four major critical areas including child prevention activities, performance management, global market strategy and sustainable development of Tourism Industry. He further added that the purpose of the training programme is to build capacity of teachers by imparting relevant knowledge and providing skill based training to familiarize them with global changes in the tourism industry and interpreting these changes in a local situation.

Addressing the gathering, Her Excellency Lestyani Yuniarsih said that it is a great opportunity for master trainers from Indonesia to learn about the challenges, innovations and development in the tourism industry. She stressed that for the industry to grow, it is important to address the growing issues and also to abreast the knowledge of trainers who subsequently train the budding professionals. Her Excellency Yuniarsih emphasized upon boosting the Small Medium Enterprises in tourism industry which will help in increasing the employment as well. She encouraged the participants to multiply the knowledge gained during the training programme by sharing it with fellow colleagues. She suggested to strengthen the training programme collaboration and advised to conduct more programmes to nurture the skills ofmaster trainers.

Dr. Sunita Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University and Mr. A T Rishunandan, Leader, CDETP were also present during the inaugural ceremony. 

During the training programme keynote speakers will conduct lectures on various topics such as ‘Global Marketing strategy in Tourism Global Tourism Product Designing and Positioning’ by Mr. Vikas Khanduri CEO -Viva Voyages; ‘Strategic and Sustainable Tourism Enterprises’ by Mr Vinod Zutsi (IAS Retd.), Former Sec. Tourism Govt.India; ‘Global E-Marketing distribution channels’ by Mr. Puneet Saxena CEO,Robin Ville; ‘Performance Enhancement methods Process approaches’ by Mr. Deepak Bahl, Director HR, The Park Hotel; ‘Performance approval tools & techniques-Tourism Industry perspective’ by Mr. Danish Kalam, Country Head, HR Ease MyTrip amongst others
