Mr. Azamjon Mansurov, Second Secretary, Embassy of Uzbekistan to India visits Amity University
On the occasion of 27th Independence Day of Uzbekistan (on 1st September), Mr. Azamjon Mansurov, Second Secretary, Embassy of Uzbekistan to India delivered a talk highlighting on Uzbek Indian current relations,socio-economic development and tourism potential of Uzbekistan at Amity University, Sector 125 Noida
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Azamjon Mansurov said that Uzbekistan is the largest country of Central Asia and known as ‘Crossroad of the Great Silk Road’.He shared that the country has strong historical relationship with India with key focus on trade, investment and cultural industries. He apprised that both India and Uzbekistan share similar culture, values and even, food. Mr. Mansurov highlighted that over the years, the country has been gaining popularity for tourism including historical tourism, ecological tourism, business tourism,ziyarat tourism and gastronomical tourism amongst others. He informed that toboost tourism and for hassle free travel, the Government has launched E- Visaservice for citizen of 101 countries including India.
Inviting potential investors and entrepreneurs, Mr. Mansurov informed that the year 2018 has been declared as the year of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Uzbekistan and there has been announcement of preferential treatment and tax benefits to investors from India, especially in pharmaceutical sector who will further get advantage in business and trading through free economic zones. Mr. Mansurov invited Amity to establish a campus at Uzbekistan and explore areas of potential collaboration with Uzbek’s universities.
