Teamof Amity International School Noida wins The Best Newspaper Award during theGlobal Times Awards 2018
TheGlobal Times, Amity’s youth newspaper, under the aegis of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan,Chairperson, Amity International Schools, organized its annual GT Awardsceremony 2018 at Amity University, Sector 125 Noida
Theninth edition of the event marked the culmination of GT Inter Amity Making ANewspaper Contest, wherein students from Amity International Schools acrossDelhi/NCR prepared one exclusive edition. The event also marked the completionof ten years of the newspaper.
Thecompetition was adjudged by Mr. Ayushman Jamwal, senior output editor, CNN News18 and Mr. Akhilesh Singh, Infographics Editor, The Times of India.Awards were given out in various categories as Most Oustanding Story, BestEducational Poster, Best Illustration, Most innovative Story et al. AmityInternational School Noida bagged the winners’ trophy for the “Best Newspaper”,followed by Amity International School Pushp Vihar and Amity InternationalSchool Gurugram 46 at the second spot and Amity International School Saket atthe third spot.
Congratulatingstudents on the occasion, Chief Guest Ms. Bhavna Vij, PoliticalEditor, Outlook said “All of you are doing a wonderful job, at par withprofessional journalists and continue doing the same with the same fervor.”
Ecstaticon seeing young journos, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan lauded the students fortheir effort. She shared, “The Global Times was my dream, but it is yournewspaper. I am elated to see that in the past ten years, it has truly become anewspaper by the students, for the students and of the students.”
Theevent was also graced by Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, ASFA, ASFT &ASPA along with heads of Amity institutions.
