Meritorious Students of Class X and XII of Amity International Schools Felicitated for their Brilliant Performances in CBSE Board Results 2018

More than 400 meritorious students from 08 Amity International Schools (across Delhi NCR) were felicitated today to honor their exemplary performances during Class X and XII CBSE Board Examinations 2018, in a special ‘Felicitation Ceremony’held at Amity University, Sector 125 Noida.

The meritorious students of Amity Schools Noida, Mayur Vihar, Saket, Pushp Vihar,Gurgaon Sector 43, Gurgaon Sector 46, Vasundhara Sector 1 and Vasundhara Sec 6 were awarded trophies, medals and certificates under various categories. 261 students were felicitated for securing “Perfect 100 in Class X”; 135 students were awarded for securing “Perfect 100 in Class XII”; 16 students were given trophies for being “School topper in class XII” and “School Topper in class X”;24 students were felicitated for being “Stream Topper”; 08 students for“Synchro Topper class XII”; 09 students who performed exceptionally well under Differently Abled category (class X and XII) and 02 girl students as “Topper of Amitasha School- school for underprivileged girl child” were also felicitated during the ceremony.

Calling herself as a ‘Proud Chairperson and Mother”, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan,Chairperson, Amity International Schools expressed her joy over the outstanding performances by students and said that this achievement is a result of tireless efforts and strong determination of students who aimed to secure perfect 100 marks. She apprised that every student of Amity is successful in their very own way. The commendable results are reflected in the overall increase of ‘school average’ from last year for CBSE X and XII Board Results.Dr. Chauhan called upon the students to imbibe the practice of continuous learning by regularly updating the skills and knowledge which will aid in personal and professional development.

Congratulating the brilliant students of Amity, Dr. Akhilesh Gupta, Scientist – G, Department of Science and Technology said it is a momentous occasion to celebrate the joy and achievements of students who have excelled in the board results. He remarked that the accomplishment is not a single person’s effort but is synergy of hard work of students, faculty members and most importantly,parents. The first schooling of a child begins at home and the learning given to a child by parents are further enhanced at school. He advised the students to remain humble and never to let success get into the head nor let failure into the heart. Dr. Akhilesh called upon the students to be fearless in their future endeavors and be dedicatedly involved in every work they are assigned,only then a person tends to succeed in life.

Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Secretary, Science & Engineering Research Board & Head,Technology Missions Division, Department of Science & Technology commended Amity for nurturing students holistically and said that the acknowledgment of students’ achievements infuse confidence in them to keep performing well and also motivate others to work hard. Dr. Sharma shared that he is elated to see so many students securing perfect 100 marks in science subjects which proves that science and technology in India is in right hands and will surely grow exponentially. He advised the students to have a balanced approach and maintain the passion to pursue a successful career in the field of science. 

Sharing his views, Mr. Vivek Gupta, father of Anshika Gupta, student of Amity International School Noida (who secured All India 2nd Rank in ClassX Board Results) expressed his gratitude towards Amity for the support in development of his daughter to achieve this meritorious feat. He thanked Chairperson Dr. Amita Chauhan for encouraging the students not just academically but by also inculcating values and ethos in them to be a good human being. Mr. Gupta appreciated the teachers for guiding and building the foundation of Anshika’s success. He opined that success can only be achieved through preparedness, hard work and learning from one’s mistake.
