Amity confers Honorary Professorship upon Dr. Triveni Singh, Addl SP, UP Police STF, Uttar Pradesh, Noida for outstanding contribution in the domain of Cyber Security, Cyber Crime and Cyber Laws
Amity University conferred Honorary Professorships upon Dr.Triveni Singh, Addl SP, UP Police STF of Uttar Pradesh, Noida; Mr. Jiten Jain,CEO, Indian Infosec Consortium and Mr. Diwakar Vaish, Head of Robotics &Research, A-SET for their outstanding contribution in the domain of CyberSecurity, Cyber Crime and Cyber Laws during a Special Ceremony held at AmityUniversity Campus, Sector-125, Noida.
Welcoming thedistinguished guests, Dr. J. S. Sodhi, VP, IT,Amity Group stated that cyber threats such as Wannacry, Petya andFireball have been increasing recently and it has become pertinent to be awareof Cyber Security, Cyber-Crimes and Cyber Laws in order to be pro-active ratherthan being reactive while dealing with problems of cyber world. Hecongratulated all the recipients of Honorary Professorships and expressed hisconviction that the vast experience and knowledge of the distinguishedrecipients will immensely benefit the students of Amity.
Dr. B Shukla- ViceChancellor, Amity University, Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity ScienceTechnology and Innovation Foundation and Prof. Sunil Khatri- Director, AmityInstitute of Information Technology felicitated the distinguished guests withHonorary Professorships.
Accepting the HonoraryProfessorship at Amity Institute of Information Technology, Dr. Triveni Singh,Addl SP, UP Police STF of Uttar Pradesh, Noida thanked Amity University forbestowing the honor on him which he referred to as “one of the biggestachievements and accomplishments of his life”. He assured his whole heartedsupport and mentorship to the students of Amity in the area of Cyber Crimes andCyber Security.
Addressing the studentsand accepting the Honorary Professorship, Mr. Jiten Jain, CEO, IndianInfosec Consortium motivated the students to increase the pace of theirlives and aim big to achieve milestones. He expressed his life-long commitmentto Amity University and vowed to be a guiding light in the area of CyberSecurity for the students of Amity.
Mr. Diwakar Vaish, Head of Robotics & Research, A-SET, while acceptingthe Honorary Professorship and interacting with students, stressed that notmany years ago when he was a student himself, he use to dream of becoming anaccomplished person who could be an inspiration to students and today, hisdream has been fulfilled. He called upon the students to aim right in theirlives and if possible, meet right people who could guide them to theirambitious goals. He thanked Amity university for recognizing his contributionin the cyber community and felicitating the same through Honorary Professorship.
