Amity University signs MoU with National Small Industries Corporation Ltd

Amity University Uttar Pradesh(AUUP) has signed a MoU with National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC)at University campus, Sector 125, Noida.

The MoU was signed by Mr. B L Arya,Registrar, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Mr. Satvinder Singh, ChiefGeneral Manager (Technology), NSIC in the presence of Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC; Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University UttarPradesh; Dr. Neelam Saxena, Head, ACED; Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Director, AmityBusiness School, Dr. K M Soni, Dy. Dean (Engg. & Tech.) - ?AmityUniversity, Noida and Senior Officials of Amity & NSIC.

Speakingon the occasion, Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC briefed about Global Perspective of the Joint Initiatives between AUUPand NSIC. He said that with this MoU, a synergy has been built between the two organizations.He added that both organizations work on similar mission of promotingentrepreneurship to create opportunities for self independence. Mr. Nathaverred that such collaborations are in alignment with the Hon’ble PrimeMinister of India’s vision of promoting start ups. He opined that it isimportant to make people realize that there is no age bar to be anentrepreneur.

Addressingthe gathering, Mr. Satvinder Singh,Chief General Manager (Technology), NSIC said that it is a great moment forboth the organizations. He mentioned that NSIC is a Government of India withvarious schemes to promote entrepreneurship. He further added that over theyears, there has been demand for high end skills and to fulfill the demand,NSIC started to have collaborations with private companies. Mr. Singh apprisedthat such associations provide platform for students to be industry ready by learningnew skills and technologies. He shared that under the MoU with Amity University,both the institutions will have joint technical programmes.

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, ViceChancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh expressed thatthis MoU will be able to create more entrepreneurs. She stressed that the aimis to have 40% more entrepreneurs in next 5 years.
