Dr. Sheema Khan – a Canadian Professor delivers lecture on “Professional & Personal Experience, Global Leadership and Career Opportunities for Students in Canada as well as Rest of the World"
Dr. Sheema Khan – a Canadian Professor and professional in the field of Intellectual Property law & Chemical Physics visited Amity University, Noida and delivered a lecture on “Professional &Personal Experience, Global Leadership and Career Opportunities for Students in Canada as well as Rest of the World”.
Addressing the students, Dr. Sheema Khan stated that Canada is a very friendly country where people from different ethnicity live,study and make their living. She shared that Canada offers equal opportunities for studies and job to everyone and there are laws to protect the rights of everyone. She remarked that Artificial Intelligence is a huge area, beginning to emerge in Canada which will have lot of spin off benefits in terms of employment generation, owing to the expansion of Accounting firms and IP Law firms.
Sharing with students the qualities and virtues they should nurture in them to be selected for further studies in Canadian Educational Institutions, Dr. Sheema Khan motivated students to strive for their own excellence and enrichment throughout their lives, while staying true to their principles and ethics. She encouraged them to be humble and be receptive to the new ideas. She called upon them to work on their communication skills and be prepared to go beyond set boundaries. She remarked that setbacks will come along the way but they should be used as opportunities for growth and cultivating resilience.
Highlighting her personal and professional journey in life, she stated that human interests tend to change as one grows up and outlined how she switched from Chemical Engineering to serving the society and finally, working in the area of Intellectual Property relate issues. She encouraged students to keep exploring different facets and interests in their lives.
The lecture was attended by students of Amity Business School, Amity School of Business and Amity International Business School, Amity School of Communications and Amity Institute of Biotechnology.
Dr. Sheema Khan was felicitated by Dr. Manoj Sharma- Amity International Affairs Department who thanked her for sharing her experiences and nuggets of wisdom with the students of Amity.
