Colorful cultural Programme by students from National and International campuses of Amity on the eve of valediction of Sangathan- 2017
On the eve of valediction of Sangathan- 2017- Inter Institutional Mega Sports Meet, a colorful cultural Programme was organized at Amity University, Sector-125, Noida.
Every year, Sangathan is celebrated in Amity to commemorate Founders’ Day. “Sangathan”is an annual, month long sports event organized to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie amongst students. This year over 25,000 students from all Amity Campuses across India and abroad enthusiastically participated in various events including Swimming, Tennis, Badminton, Tug- of war, Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Chess, Squash and Shooting.
During the cultural evening, students, donned in colorful ensembles, from Amity Universities and Campuses located in Noida,Greater Noida, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Mumbai,Kolkatta, Jharkhand, Bihar and Dubai presented a colorful mélange of dances ranging from Folk Dances, Lavani, Bhangra to Bollywood songs, . The presentations beautifully brought out the unity in diversity of the country.
Addressing the students, Dr. Atul Chauhan-Chancellor, Amity University applauded the talent and energetic performances by the students who had come from all over the country and abroad to participate in the valediction of Sangathan. Dr. Chauhan stated that the zeal, commitment, sportsmanship, leadership qualities and enthusiasm shown by each and every Amitian during month long Sports event will go long way in transforming their personalities and making them successful professionals and good human beings. He remarked that all Amity students are holistically groomed to take on the reigns of the country in future and to lead it to greater heights. He congratulated all the students and encouraged them to keep nurturing in themselves the virtues they have imbibed during Sangathan.
Also present during the event were Ms. Pooja Chauhan- Vice Chairperson, Amity Humanity Foundation, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Amity Group Vice Chancellor, Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla- Vice Chancellor,Amity University along with senior Directors, HoDs, faculty members and thousands of enthusiastic students.
