His Excellency, Mr. Bulat Sarsembayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India addresses students of Amity
Under the prestigious Ambassador Lecture Series, His Excellency, Mr. Bulat Sarsembayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India visited Amity University, Noida and delivered an informative lecture for the management students.
Welcoming the distinguished guest and introducing him to the audience, Prof (Dr) Gurinder Singh- Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities stated that His Excellency is an excellent researcher and prolific speaker with good understanding about Indian multi-socio-cultural society. He shared that all Amity Universities and its students are internationally aligned and a delegation of 50 Kazakhstan students visited Amity along with H. E few years back. Dr. Singh suggested to the Ambassador that a student exchange programme can be initiated between Amity University and Universities of Kazakhstan wherein the selected students could pursue internships in foreign companies and understand the global business scenario.
While sharing his views, His Excellency, Mr. Bulat Sarsembayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India stated that the Kazakhstan is a young country which celebrated its 25 years of Independence last year. He shared that Kazakhstan is developing very fast just like India and its GDP per capita is constantly growing. He informed that the Kazakhstan Trade is growing bigger and Kazakhstan, just like India, has “Made in Kazakhstan” campaign which aims at bolstering its economy. Talking about the relationship between both the countries, H.E stressed that India and Kazakhstan has successful bi-lateral ties and Kazakhstan wants to increase economic trade with India, which has great potential especially in sectors such as Energy, Agriculture, Health and Pharmaceuticals. He shared that the number of Tourist Visas issued between both the countries has been growing over the past 3-4 years which shows the strengthening ties between both the countries. He highlighted that there are over 120 registered Indian companies in Kazakhstan and informed the gathering that Kazakhstan offers favorable investment climate and business-oriented tax and customs policies. He called upon the management students of Amity to come and explore a bright future in Kazakhstan.
