Her Excellency, Ms. Joanna Kempkers, Ambassador of New Zealand to India visited Amity University, Noida
Her Excellency, Ms. Joanna Kempkers, Ambassador of New Zealand to India visited Amity University, Noida and delivered a lecture for the students under theprestigious Amity Ambassador Lecture Series.
The Ambassador was welcomed by Amb. R. M. Aggarwal, Addl. DG, ACICA, Prof Bhawna Kumar, VP, RBEF, Wg Cdr S K Goel, Dy. Dir, International Affairs Department and Dr. Manoj Sharma- International Affairs Department.
During the lecture, she apprised the students of Amity about the Universities,Educational Institutions and student population and overall economy of New Zealand.
She informed students that 8 Universities of New Zealand are listed in the World’stop Universities and students from India and other countries come to New Zealand because of culture diversity and harmony. He shared that more than 40%of the population in Auckland is of foreign origin, out of which 8% areIndians. He shared that Hindi is the fourth most spoken language in New Zealand. He stressed that by 2038, 50% of the population of New Zealand will be of outside origin. He welcomed the students to New Zealand for pursuing their further studies.
The Kapa Haka troupe from New Zealand also performed during the occasion. The Kapa Haka dance is done in New Zealand for beginning of battle,as a welcoming gesture, celebrations and entertainment.
Her Excellency, Ms. Joanna Kempkers was taken around the Campus and shown the state of the art Campus including Amity University Online, Central Library and Amity Innovation Incubator. Her Excellency was highly impressed with the vast expanse and facilities offered to students and faculty members at Amity.
