Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management organized a guest lecture by Col Mahesh Khera, Founder, KTMT Consulting Pvt. Ltd. & India Chief of Strategy & Business Development, Location Labs, US.
He was accompanied by Lt. Gen. Ashok Agarwal, Country Head, Location Labs, US & Former President, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE).
Col. Khera spoke on ‘New Age High Growth Location Based Services (LBS) & Value Added Services (VAS)’. During his talk he discussed about current telecom environment, current VAS market in India Viz-a-Viz developed country and its market potential in India. He emphasized that the data centric VAS are becoming popular and gaining market share over Voice VAS.
He explained in details about the concept of Digital Parenting & Family Safety Services (DP & FSS) and gave demonstration on following features of the services through which parents can ensure safety of their children:
a) Family locator
b) Drive safe
c) Mobile control
d) Social Monitoring
The lecture was highly interactive in nature and concluded with a Q&A session which was very interesting for the students.
