Amity Academic Staff College and Amity School of Engineering and Technology organise training programme on ‘Cloud Infrastructure Services’
Amity Academic Staff College (AASC) and Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) organized an EMC Corporation Instructor Led training programme on the ‘Cloud Infrastructure Services’ for faculty members at F2 Block MDP Hall, Amity Campus, Sec-125, Noida.
During the inaugural session,
Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor-AUUP, Head-AASC and Director General-ASET highlighted the relevance of industry focused training programmes for faculty members.
Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Bansal, the Programme Director of the training workshop and Head of the Department of Information Technology-ASET , welcomed the participants and emphasized on the rapid pace progress needed in education sector to match the latest technological updations in the field of IT.
The five day training programme was well structured by EMC Corporation in eleven different modules and was delivered by
Mr. Sagar Patil, the Senior Technical Education Consultant, EMC Corporation, Bangalore. The training programme focused on Classic and Virtualized datacenters and the phases for adoption and migration to cloud computing environment and also highlighted the major bottlenecks and security concerns while moving to cloud.
The valedictory function was held on 11 May, 2012 wherein
Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla presented a memento, as a token of gratitude, to the trainer,
Mr. Sagar Patil.
Prof. (Dr) Abhay Bansal and Prof. (Col) Kaiser Singh Head of Department Computer Science-ASET were amongst the other signatories present during the valedictory ceremony. The participants gave their reviews and feedback on the training and shared their experiences with the gathering.
The training was attended by more than 40 participants from academic institutions across the nation including NMIMS University-Mumbai, Bharat Institute of Technology-Meerut, Graphics Era University-Dehradun, Integral University-Lucknow, Manav Rachna International University-Faridabad and Lovely Professional University-Jalandhar.
Faculty members from ASET- Noida, Lucknow & Bijwasan, Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT), Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management (AITTM), Amity School of Computer Science (ASCS) etc. were amongst other institutions from Amity who were benefited from this enriching training programme
