Delegation from NTU (Nottingham Trent University), UK visits Amity School of Fashion Technology & Amity School of Fine Arts

Dr. Sally Wade, Acting Dean of School of Art & Design & Mr. Andrew Plant, Head of International Development Art, Design & the Built Environment from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK visited Amity School of Fashion Technology & Amity School of Fine Arts on Wednesday the May 30, 2012. During this visit the delegates met Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Ms. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity School of Fine Arts & Amity School of Performing Arts, Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT & ASFA and Maj. Gen. R.K. Dhawan, VSM (Retd.), Senior Vice President & Director, International Affairs Division, Amity University.

During the delegates’ interaction with Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University, the common areas of association were discussed.

The interface between the esteemed members of the delegation and Ms. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity School of Fine Arts & Amity School of Performing Arts and Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT & ASFA further elaborated on the areas of common interest. Ms. Divya Chauhan lauded the efforts made by the schools for coming together and working towards mutually beneficial common goals.

Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT & ASFA interacted with the delegates for exploring international association for various programmes being offered by the schools. The meeting revolved around common areas of interests like association between School of Art & Design, Nottingham Trent University and Amity School of Fashion Technology & Amity School of Fine Arts, discussions on programme structures & course curriculum and details of new programmes being launched at the schools and action plan on Knowledge Economy Partnerships 2012.

The delegates were then taken around and shown the various facilities of ASFT & ASFA, which were very much appreciated by Dr. Sally Wade & Mr. Andrew Plant. The faculty team of ASFT & ASFA were also present including Mr. Shankar Sahay, International Coordinator (ASFT), Ms. Smita Bagai, Programme Leader (UG) & Mr. Varun Sahai, International Coordinator (ASFA).
