Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management conducts three days training program on ‘ Access Technology on Telecom Networks" for Power Grid Corporation India Ltd

Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management is conducting a three days training program on ‘ Access Technology on Telecom Networks ( PON/PTN) ‘ for the practicing engineers and managers of Power Grid Corporation India Ltd. ( PGCIL), from April 12 - 14, 2012. Lt. General P.D. Bhargava – Director General, Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management inaugurated the program on April 12, 2012.

The program started with a session on Self Assessment and Stress Management by Prof. (Dr.) Abha Singh – Director AIPS and Officiating Head AIBHAS.

Power Grid Corporation of India has diversified into telecom, unitilizing right of way on its Extra High Voltage Power Transmission Network infrastructure in the country with its brand name as ‘Powertel’. Amongst the telecom players Powergrid is the only utility in the country having overhead optic fiber network using Optical Ground Wire on power transmission line.

As Powergrid has plans to diversify into Access Technology to generate additional revenue , they approached AITTM for training their mid management work force on the subject , in a realistic and meaningful way. In 2011, AITTM had imparted an exclusively customized training to Powergrid on ‘Data Centre’ which was immensely appreciated.

Keeping in view the training capsule of PGCIL , AITTM has organized eminent subject experts from the industry some of whom are :

Mr. Ashwani Kumar – Director (Wire line Technical Sales) ZTE , Mr. G.D. Pal – Asst Director UT Starcom , Mr. Sunil Kumar – a seasoned practicing trainer since 1996 on the subject and Mr. Naseem Ahmed – Chairman AIATTR, who has vast knowledge on the subject and extensive industry experience.

The Program will be concluded on April 14 with distribution of certificates to the participants who successfully complete the program and a valedictory function.
