Amity University organised a Workshop on ‘Applied Management Models’ as part of an Out Reaching Programme of Tilburg University, Holland on April 13, 2012 at F-3 Seminar Hall.
A delegation from Tilburg University, Holland comprising of Prof. R.D. Vriesendorp, a Professor in Civil & Commercial Law, Mr. Ian Mouser along with 40 MBA/Law students participated in the Workshop.
Prof. R.D. Vriesendorp, Professor in Civil & Commercial Law, Tilburg University presented his talk on "Insolvency, Acquisitions and International Finance". Prof. Vriesendorp said that when a company is unable to pay debts and its liabilities exceed, the bank usually wish to enforce repossesion right but the values of collateral is also decreased. The realisation of collateral results in non-recoverable loss of principle, thus making the company insolvent. Prof. Vriesendorp also touched upon the acquisitions and International Finance.
Dr. Geetha Garib, Tilburg University briefly descibed about the education system of Holland. Dr. Garib said that in Holland, Primary education is for 8 years. Secondary education is of three types - University Preparation System of 6 years duraction, Senior General Second Education of 5 years and Preparatory vocation secondary education of 4 years duration. Dr. Garib said that in Tilburg University there are total of 13, 153 students. 7061 are doing undergraduate courses and 6092 are pursuing Post Graduate courses.
Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, DG, ABS talked on the topic “Emerging Issues in Organizational. Prof. Nilendra Kumar, Director, ALS presented his talk on "Role of Private Universities in legal Education Behavior", Dr. Alka Munjal, Director Academics & Director ASB addressed the gathering on the topic “Ethics & Governance in Business”.
