Mr. Nigel Banister, CEO – MBS World Wide, Manchester Business School – University of Manchester, UK visits Amity University Uttar Pradesh
Mr. Nigel Banister, CEO – MBS World Wide, Manchester Business School – University of Manchester, UK visited Amity University to mull over the potential areas of collaboration. Mr. Banister was accompanied by Mr. Christopher Higgins.
The delegation was received by Maj Gen R.K. Dhawan, Advisor – International Affairs Department, Amity, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Director- Amity Business School, Dr. Arun Sacchar, Director – Amity International Business School.
While briefing about the University of Manchester, Mr. Nigel Banister, CEO – MBS World Wide, Manchester Business School said that University of Manchester is 200 year old and was initially known as Victoria University of Manchester. It is research based university and has largest cancer research facility in UK. Speaking about Manchester Business School (MBS), Mr. Banister said that MBS has a presence in Dubai and Shanghai. Around 3500 students are studying Global MBA Program of MBS out of which 1000 students are studying at Dubai campus. Mr. Banister said that they are looking forward to a dual degree programme linked with MBS Global MBA in Amity, Student and Faculty Exchange for UG and PG programmes, Short Corporate Education programmes with Amity etc.
Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Director- Amity Business School apprised the delegation that the Executive MBA program of Amity University matches with the Global MBA of Manchester Business School and collaboration options between two Universities can be worked out easily.
Delegation members also met Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor – Amity University Uttar Pradesh and briefed him about the various courses of Manchester Business School and possible areas of collaboration with Amity University.
It was followed by a meeting with Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor – Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
Delegation also visited Amity Business School and Amity Innovation Incubator.
