Ms. Basia Szkutnicka, Study Abroad Director, London College of Fashion visited Amity School of Fashion Technology & Amity School of Fine Arts on Monday the 12th December, 2011. Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT & ASFA interacted with her for exploring international association for various programmes being offered by the schools.
Ms. Basia addressed the students of ASFT & ASFA and dwelled at length on the topic of “Prospects for Fashion & Art field students.” During her interactive session, she stressed on the importance of Fashion Sketching & Drawing. She emphasized the need for exposure to the western world so that their practices could be imbibed and then put the same to use in the Indian perspective, by returning back to India for working for Indian industry and education field. She also mentioned broadly the points of discussion for association taken up with Director, ASFT & ASFA.
The students keenly listened to the session and were eager to know more about the details of London College of Fashion as well as the prospects of UK Fashion & Arts education.
Ms. Basia also met Maj. Gen. R.K. Dhawan, VSM (Retd.), Senior Vice President & Director, International Affairs Division, Amity University, Wg. Cdr. S.K. Goel (Retd.), Vice President, International Affairs Division, Amity University and the faculty team of ASFT & ASFA including Mr. Shankar Sahay & Ms. Smita Bagai, the programme leaders of ASFT.
