Students from B.Tech (E&T), AITTM visits Blind school for children
Human value quarter is a time period where the students carry out an activity for a good cause which may be performing a skit on social topics like child abuse or spreading awareness or visiting the “NOT SO PRIVILEGED” orphanage homes, blind schools or old age home. In our daily life we forget to think about the privileges GOD has endowed upon us. The Human value quarter gives a chance to the students to compensate and take out some time from their lives and make others happy.
25 students from B.Tech (E&T), AITTM, visited a Blind school for children in Lajpat Nagar. The school had a huge campus and there were around 100 students in the school between the ages of 6 years to 18 years.
The principal of the school greeted the students and faculty members and introduced them to the children. All the children gathered in the assembly area. Initially the children were reluctant to talk but with time they started enjoying. The students made them feel comfortble by offering them toffees and chips. This was followed by the interactive session where the children introduced themselves and talked about their interests. Most of them loved cricket.
Then the students started with talent round. Some of the children had God gifted amazing voice and they sang beautiful songs and bhajans. All the students were touched by the sweetness and innocence of their voices. Then the students distributed the biscuits and other food items among the children. What was amazing to see was the fact how these children supported each other while walking from one place to another and had the sensitivity and care for each other.
As it was the lunch time for the children, all the AITTM students went to their dining area. It was really a nice experience serving food to the little children. What was amazing was the fact that they all waited to start the food till it was served to each and everyone and then together in a single tone prayed to GOD thanking for the food they were being served.
The students consider themselves lucky to get an opportunity to meet those children and spend some quality time with them.
