Edward Maya Rocks at Amity Youth Festival

Closing of the Three Day Festival could not have been better with students asking for more with the performance of the famous Romanian Rock Star Edward Maya who has performed for the first time in India in any University. Edward captured the hearts of thousand and thousands of students who came from all over India and rocked to the beats of music, as if in trance, going hysterical and nostalgic with the perfect fusion of Electronic Music. It was the music fever at Amity which gripped the students and going crazy to get a glimpse of Edward.

The three day festival which tapped the talent of thousands of students in over 300 management, technical and cultural events also was the talk of the town with the visit of film stars Mughda Godse, Rajeev Khandelwal, Muzammil Ibrahim, Aditya Datt who came here to promote their film “Will you marry me” amongst the youth. It was the mood of festivity and fervor all around the campus and the stars glittering all over in Amity with RJ Naved of Radio Mirchi, Film Actor Tapsee (Actor of remake of film “Chashme baddur”) famous TV personalities, corporate honchos and technocrats who had come to judge several events.

A cancer awareness talk by Padamshree Dr. Ashok Dikshit from Medanta Hospital was held for the students to spread awareness about cancer and how the life style of the youth is leading to a rise in the number of cancer patients.

The festival had several colors from culinary competition to youth LAN Gaming, Students Symposia, Juke Box, Chorale, Classical Dance – Nrtiy arsh, Poster Making, Mechanical Competition – Junk Yard, Technical fun Assassins, Bhoot Bangla, AD Zap, Movie Festival – Time Code, Stage Play Competition – Abroad Sway, Fashion Show, Choreography Competition, Mimicry Competition. Scintillating performances by students in Street Dance Competition, Western Dance – Trans Ascent, Fun Activity – Left Right, Folk Dance Competition – Rang Raise, Photography Exhibition & Competition – Pixels.

Amity University also held a Book Fair for the first time where over 30 publishers have pitched in to the delight of the readers.

The Youth of Amity were bubbling with energy alongwith participants from various other colleges and universities such as Delhi University, Galgotia University, IIPM, IILM, BIM TECH, NIFTY, Sharda University, IP University, Jamia Milia College, TIT Bhopal, NSIT, MGM COET Noida, JP College, Pearl Academy, Amity Manesar and Amity Lucknow to name a few.
