Delegation from University of New Hampshire, USA visits Amity University
A Senior Delegation from University of New Hampshire (UNH), USA visited Amity University on 26th September, 2011. Ms. Lisa MacFarlane, Sr. Provost for Academic Affairs, Mr. Marc Sedam, Executive Dir, Office of Research Partnership & Commercialization & New Hampshire Innovation Research Centre, Ms. Sharu Grover, Embassy of USA, New Delhi were part of the delegation.
The purpose of their visit to India is to build long and sustainable partnership with the best Universities here for which Amity University is pitching in. A detailed presentation of Amity University curriculum, achievements and vision for the future was shown by Major General R.K Dhawan, Director International Affairs Dept. Amity University Uttar Pradesh along with Dr.Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor (International) Amity University Uttar Pradesh.
The guests were made aware of the world class infrastructure, plethora of courses, strong research and development and industry interaction which Amity offers to its students.
Ms.Lisa showed keen interest in a faculty research collaboration, student exchange programmes and a long term relationship with the university. Also, the delegation was highly interested in collaborating research programmes for subjects like Marine Science, Environmental Science, Business and Engineering.
Dr.Gurinder Singh, Pro VC(I), AUUP pointed out the need for making committees from both ends to follow up these plans and develop a sustainable relationship for the future.
