Amity University Hindi Literary Club “SRIJAN” organized an Essay Writing Competition, as a part of Swacchta Pakhwada

Under the Umbrella of MHRD of INDIA,Amity University Hindi Literary Club “SRIJAN” organized an Essay Writing Competition as a part of Swacchta Pakhwada (1st – 15th September) an initiative taken up by the Government of India under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, this program has some unique features -it is actually a pledge ceremony initiated by the Central Government for spreading awareness among people regarding the depleting Environment and to maintain cleanliness within the Institutes, Departments and Office premises. The sole intention is to reinforce the awareness for cleanliness around the Country.

Keeping in mind the above, “SRIJAN”took an initiative to create awareness regarding the same and organized an Essay Writing Competition. The students from different Departments of Amity University, Noida participated in the same with great enthusiasm and joy. The session was interesting and interactive and witnessed the elaboration of concepts of Reuse, Reduce and Recycle and inspired to manage the waste better.

After the essay writing competition was over, the faculty members a shared their contributions at individual level towards Swacchta Pakhwada like reusing envelopes, files; usage of common printers, zero wastage of food and water which directly and indirectly inspired the participants to contribute towards depleting environment.

The session influenced the participants to contribute to the environment and for making it a healthy and a safe place to live in harmony.
