Amity Business School organizes Renvoi 2016
To nurture the abilities of students for developing innovative, real-world business solutions through challenging and exciting learning experience, Amity Business School in support by The Case Centre, United Kingdom organized Renvoi 2016 at University Campus, Sector125 Noida.
Renvoi is a case study competition which gives a platform to narrate various business scenarios which require critical thinking and strategic decision making.
The competition witnessed the presence of eminent personalities including Mr. Ashwin Fernandes, Regional Director, QS Quacquarelli Symonds / Singapore;Dr. Sanjay Dhir- Chairman Strategic Management, IIT Delhi; Mr. Raj Mangal- Managing Director UPSIC; Ms. ShrutiSodhi – CCO, Aircel and American Express; Pradeep Aggarwal – Vice President, IL and FS Energy Development Company Ltd.; Mr. Dipin Kwatra- Founder, Vestise Advisors; Mr. Ajay Nirula- Chief Operating Officer, IL and FS Energy Development Company Ltd. and Ms. Anubha Batra- Founding Partner,Torah Learning Solutions.
Briefing about the competition, (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School said that case study competition is a great source of learning and act as a benchmark for the budding professionals to hone their decision making skills for application to various business situations. He mentioned that the participants inherent benefit of developing convincing and negotiation skills and communication capabilities. Case discussions and presentations also develop team building and inter-personal skills.
More than 28 teams across globe including Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Nigeria, Oman participated in the competition.The participants were from various organizations such as VISA, Singapore, Dubai Health Care, Dubai, Olam International, Nigeria,Axis Bank, India, Tata, Ernst and Young and renowned Universities such as Delhi University, Ahmedabad University etc.
During the day, a book “RENVOI-Business Management Cases” was launched in the which has been written and edited by Dr. Sanjeev Bansal and Dr. Anupama Rajesh.
Mr. Nirav Sahni from McGill University Canada bagged the 1st prize while Dr. Rupa Basu was presented with 2nd prize for Case Study Competition.The Case Centre, UK Award for faculty participation was given to Ms. Ruchi Tewari, Ahmadabad University.
