Domain of Engineering and Technology,Amity University organized a Guest Lecture on “Industry& Society Transformation with Big Data & CAMS (Cloud, Analytics,Mobile, Social)” by Mr. Lalit Yagnik, Director, Solution Architect and Mentor:Venture Funds, Startups, Industry-Academia Partnership Programs at Universitycampus, Sector-125, Noida
Mr.Lalit Yagnik has over 20 years of experience in applying ICT solutions toindustry verticals in Asia Pacific markets. He has consistently built lastingcustomer relationships, led engagements (envision, solution, deliver),developed new businesses & talent (hire, lead, P&L).
Thesession was very informative for the students gearing for placement. The session covered the information about theskills required by companies in Freshers at the time of recruiting them. Mr. Yagnikexplained the importance of Skill in the technologies such as Big Data, CloudComputing, Analytics, Mobile and Social. He emphasized and motivated students to acquire the skills befittingtheir inclination which will help their smooth transition from academia toindustry.
Mr.Lalit Yagnik briefly explained Big Data, Cloud Computing, Analytics,Mobileand SocialNetworks He has also shared list of the skill based courses which canbe opted by students as elective or core courses for their better careeroptions.
Heconcluded the session motivating students to develop applications, beneficialfor the society,which can be commercialized.

Jha–Amity Institute of Information Technology, Ms. Sapna Sinha– AmityInstitute of Information Technology, Dr. Renuka Mahajan–Amity Institute ofInformation Technology, Dr. Neetu Mittal–Amity Institute of InformationTechnology, Noida as faculty coordinators.
Over 250 studentsof Amity School of Engineering, Amity Institute of Information Technology andAmity School of Engineering and Technology attended the lecture.
