AmityInstitute of Behavioural & Allied Sciences, AUUP conducted “Cancer AwarenessCampaign” at University Campus, Sector-125, Noida
TheCampaign was facilitated by Dr. RavinderMohan and Sr. Savita Luka from the Can Support- a palliative care organizationbased in Delhi. It was an interactive session attended by 150 trainee-teachersand the faculty of Amity Institute of Education, Noida & AIBAS
The Campaign enlightened the students and enhancedtheir knowledge about cancer, its causes, the preventive measures and its cureswith special focus on “Breast cancer” and “Cervical Cancer” which are commonlydiagnosed in women and which take away the lives of almost 72,000 women inIndia every year.
The session concluded with question and answerround, wherein the participants clarified their doubts and debunked many mythsabout cancer. The session concluded with a video presentation of self-examinationto detect breast cancer. Dr. Alka Muddgal,HOI, AIBAS chaired the program and Dr. Rasna Sehrawat proposed the vote ofthanks.
