India’s Young Achievers, Innovators and Activists motivate students with their success stories during “TEDx programme” at Amity
Amity University Uttar Pradesh organized the world renowned and highly acclaimed “TEDx programme” on the theme ‘Blending Vision’ at University Campus, Sector-125, Noida
TED is a non profit organization which conducts annual TED Conferences wherein world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to share their success stories.
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "Ideas Worth Spreading” and it is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level thus helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
TEDx Amity University provided platform for knowledge sharing by young achievers,innovators and activists with Amity students thereby, leading motivating them for a much prosperous and meaningful future ahead.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. B Shukla- Vice Chancellor, Amity University said that Amity’s TEDx vision is to give a suitable platform to the young innovators/achievers to share their ideas and concept with the students and encourage them through success stories and first hand experiences.
She commended all the students who conceptualized the event with an effort to improve themselves and students community by providing a learning and teaching ecosystem in a TED-like environment.

Mr. Rahul Arya –Internationally acclaimed Sand Animation Artist screened his engrossing and mesmerizing 200 seconds short films on “100 years of Bollywood”, “Life of Rajnikanth” and others wherein he beautifully narrated the stories in a crisp and interesting manner through magical creations in sand. Paying tribute to the selfless love and care of mothers, the prolific Sand Artist showed various emotions shared by mother with her children. His tribute received standing ovation from the audience who were left speechless by nimbleness of his hands.
Ms. Kaanchi Chopra– a 17 year Founder of "Artivism" shared how she has been using her art for social activism and stressed that visual art has the ability to touch mind,body and soul of a person. She showcased her various paintings and creations through which she has tried to critique the social evils prevailing in the society such as Poverty, Female Foeticide, Racial discrimination etc.
Mr. Sanjay Khatri-India’s Finest Male Ballet Dancer, while delivering TEDx talk, outlined the difficulty he faced while convincing his parents to pursue Ballet Dancing as a profession. He shared that Ballet Dancing as an art form has been catching up in India and he has been training lot of interested children in his studio.

Delivering TEDx Talk, Dr. Kanav Kahol – Developer of Swasthya Slate averred that Primary Health defines the strong foundation of a country and outlined that in India, there is just one doctor for 1,700 patients whereas the ideal ratio should be 1:1000.Giving a demo of innovative “Swasthya Slate”, he shared that Swasthya Slate, under various Projects , are given to frontline Healthcare workers empowering them to conduct 33 diagnostic tests anytime, anywhere related to Bones, Diabetes and Kidney, Heart and Infectious Diseases. He called upon the youth to use their knowledge and talent to resolve the problems faced by people in the country.
During the day, motivational TEDx talks were given by Ar. Aakash Nidhi Jha –Designer of a War Heritage Museum, Mr. Sandesh Kadur- NATGEO Wild Life Conservation Photographer, Mr. Hari Sukhmani-EDM Folk Artist, Mr. Biplab Ketan Paul – Social Entrepreneur & Innovator of Bhungroo Agriculture Project and Ms. Deepa Kiran-Professional Story Teller, Writer and Voice Over Artist.
