Industry Leaders felicitated during Corporate Meet 2016 at Amity University
To felicitate the industry leaders for their remarkable contribution in academic industry linkage, Domain of Engineering and Technology organized CORPORATE MEET 2016 at University Campus, sector 125 Noida.
The aim of the meet was to provide an opportunity to budding professionals to meet and interact with the industry leaders. The Corporate Meet also provided a platform to show gratitude towards the contribution of the industry experts who played a key role in polishing the talent of our students during summer internship and helped them in recognizing their potentials.
The meet witnessed the presence of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group; Lt. Gen P.D. Bhargava, Group Dy. Vice Chancellor, Prof.(Dr.) K.M. Soni,Dy. Dean, Domain (Engg. & Tech.); Dr. (Prof.) Abhay Bansal, Jt Director, Amity School of Engineering and Technology along with HOIs of Domain Engineering & Technology Institutions and eminent Industry Professionals.
Welcoming the guests, Honorable Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan said that with an increasingly competitive time, the challenge has emerged to have skilled professionals who can work readily as per the industry needs. He mentioned that Amity has always believed in bridging the skill gap with the help of industry by nurturing industry ready professionals. Dr Chauhan appreciated the efforts of the industry experts who inculcated the necessary skills and nurtured the talent of students during summer internship that will help them in molding their career in a long run.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. R B Madhekar, ?CEO at RBMSS- Reliable Business Management Support System said that such meets are motivational not only for students for also for the industry professionals who get the opportunity to interact with young students and know their expectations. He stressed that most companies expect graduates to have some level of experience, even at entry-level positions; therefore, an internship is very important as it provides the training and imbibe necessary skills which a budding professional needs for a good kick start of their career.
Addressing the gathering, Col Pankaj Dhingra, Chief Human Resources Officer at SITI Cable Network Limited, Zee Network said that Industry- Academia partnerships are necessary and mutually beneficial as it helps to understand each other’s core objectives. He apprised that collaborations equip the students with skills that are required as per fast changing industry scenarios. He pointed that apart from technical skills, good communication skills are also essential. A person can achieve great success in career, when one is primed with both kinds of skills. Col Pankaj lauded the students of Amity for their hard work duringthe summer internship.
Sharing her views, Ms. Natsha Singh, Vice President- HR, Sopra and Steria said that considering the growing competitive environment, a professional must possess the skill of positive thinking along with knowledge of work. She apprised that at present, the companies prefer to hire those professionals, who relevant experience, polished skills, new thinking, energetic and have positive approach towards challenges, Ms. Singh commended Amity towards its efforts for bridging academic-industry gap and providing manpower skilled as per industry standards.
During the occasion, various prominent Industry Leaders were felicitated with Awards,including “Leadership Awards” to Microsoft, Havells, Relaxo Footwear, Everest;Varun Beverages, Reliance Jio, Kobelco and Luxor amongst others; “Best Internship Award to “Monster.com, Vice President- Mr. Pankaj Kinker” among others.
During the occasion, book on “Summary of Summer Internship Project” was released by the dignitaries.

Corporate Meet 2016 concluded with special performance by students of Amity followed by an interactive session wherein eminent leaders of various industries participated and discussed to extract out solution for the young growing engineers from the maestros of the field.
