Delegation from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China visits Amity
A 30 member Chinese Delegation from Tsinghua University, Beijing,China visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Sector 125, Noida Campus today.
The delegation was led by Yunfeng Zheng, Instructor, Student Affairs Department; Ke Zhang, Instructor Graduate School along with 28 Students of UG and PG programmes who were welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Bansal,Joint Acting Head, Amity School of Engineering and Technology; Dr. Nirupama Prakash, Director, Amity Institute of Social Sciences; Wg. Cdr. S K Goel, Dy. Dir., International Affairs Department and other Senior Officials of Amity.
The visiting delegation is starting a brand-new 15-day research project in New Delhi, Bombay and Calcutta,India.
The purpose of visit is to provide a platform to students of Tsinghua University to gain preliminary understanding of India & its Social System and Indian Entrepreneurship and Education.
Discussing on Indian Entrepreneurship & Indian Education, Prof.(Dr.) Gurinder Singh said that for an individual to be good student or entrepreneur, it is important for him or her to be an explorer. A person must have passion and enthusiasm toward the goal for being successful. He mentioned that Amity always encourages the students to take initiatives as we believe that leaders take initiative to create something new, different and beneficial for society. Dr. Singh apprised that an entrepreneur thinks differently and doesn’t follow a routine work for which it is required for a person to be interactive. He averred that if a person wants to be a good entrepreneur then he or she should be clear with the fundamentals and learn the art of building good teams.
During the visit, both the Universities also discussed on the potential collaboration for Students and Faculty Members to explore the areas of interest where they can work in partnership with each other.
