Amity University Uttar Pradesh signs Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK

To increase the number of quality global management accountants, Amity University Uttar Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK at University campus, Sector 125 Noida.

The MoU was signed by Dr. B.L. Arya, Registrar, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Mr. Andrew Harding Managing Director, CIMA in the presence of Mrs. IreneTeng, Regional Director Asia Pacific, CIMA ; Mr. Venkkat Ramanan, Head of Strategic Business Asia Pacific- CIMA; Mr. Bhaskar Ranjan Das, Head of Marketing South Asia - CIMA; Mr. Ayan Mahapatra, Head of Market India, CIMA; Mr.Vineet Pawar, Market Manager Delhi - CIMA; Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. (Prof.) Alka Munjal, Director -Academics at Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Senior Officials of Amity.

Under this agreement, Amity University and CIMA would be combining their expertiseand resources to offer the CIMA qualification with the aim of preparing thestudents from Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration,Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis for a challenging career as qualified professional management accountants.

Briefing about CIMA, Dr. (Prof.) BalvinderShukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh said that CIMA is the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants which teaches skills for strategic advice, managing risk and making key decisions and prepares people for a career in business. She further added that it is a proud day for Amity to be associated with such a prestigious organization ofglobal recognition that will aid in providing diverse opportunities to students of Amity.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Andrew Harding Managing Director, CIMA said that the objective of association is to enhance the quality of management accounting education by incorporating professional requirements and needs in the programme structure. He mentioned that there is a huge demand for expert accountants across the globe and CIMA is working towards to fill the gap, He further added that the aim of CIMA is to enhance the professional growth journey of Amity students by acquiring a globally recognized professional accounting qualification.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Irene Teng,Regional Director Asia Pacific, CIMA said that the mission of collaboration is not to equip students with just skills and knowledge but to nurture their competency. She commended that Amity is known for its passion for providing global education to future generation and lauded the work of Amity is Research and Innovation sector. Mrs. Teng apprised that companies across the world seek for expert accountants who can navigate the business to cope with uncertain business landscape.
