Amity University Team wins Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2016 Ghaziabad-Noida Finals and North Zone Finals
Amity University Uttar Pradesh hosted Ghaziabad-Noida Regional Finale of 12th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz - India’s largest and highest rated business quiz at I-2 Block Moot Court Hall,Amity University Campus, Sector-125 Noida.
The Quiz is being organised in 36 cities in India by Tata Services Ltd.
A total of 176 teams from various institutions and colleges from all disciplines across Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida region participated in the Quiz at Amity Campus.
The Quiz was hosted by famous Quiz master Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam,popularly known as Pickbrain, who heads GreycapsIndia Pvt Ltd; India's largest onstage quiz company, headquartered in Bangalore.
Chief Guest, Mr. Sanjay Singh, Principal Resident Representative, Tata Sons Limited, New Delhi graced theoccasion with his presence and motivated students with his inspirational words to succeed in life. Present on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Director, Amity Business School expressed his gratitude for hosting the event and also wished participants a great learning experience.
The preliminary round had a written Quiz followed by Semi Final round with 6 teams and final round with 6 teams. Teams from IMT, Ghaziabad, Amity University,KIET, Ghaziabad, IMI, Ghaziabad made to regional finals.
Amity University team comprising of two students –Mr. Sreshth Shah, Student of Amity School of Communication and Mr. Abhimanyu Bhadauria, student Amity Institute of Space Science & Technology, won the Quiz and bagged the Prize of Rs.75000/- whereas Aligarh Muslim University team won the Runners Up prize and were awarded with Rs.35000/- cash prize.
Subsequently, the winning Amity team appeared in North Zone Finals held at Hotel Taj Palace and competed with 8 other teams from Chandigrah, Gurgaon, Delhi, Jammu, Amritsar,Jaipur and Lucknow. After 5 rounds of Quizzing with teams from IIM Lucknow,LNMIIT Jaipur, UPES Dehradun, IISER Mohali, GNDU Amritsar, Ashoka University and MIET Jammu, Amity team emerged as winning champions of North Zone finals as well.
The National Finals to be held on 17th April 2016 at Mumbai.
