Energy Week Celeberations commence at Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering Department, Amity School of Enginnering and Technology
Mechanical and Automation Engineering Department in association with Civil Engineering and EEE Departments of Amity commenced “Energy Week” scheduled from 21st to 24th September2015.
Prof. Vivek Kumar, Head of the Department, Mechanical and Automation Engineering welcomed the distinguished guests and introduced them to the gathering. He explained about the significance of Energy Week celebration at university level and outlined the activities which will unfold during the four day event.
Prof. Abhay Bansal, Jt. Acting Head, Amity School of Engineering and Technology highlighted the importance of energy conservation and appraised the gathering with the job opportunities present in energy sector. He wished all the success to the event.
Prof V.K .Jain -Distinguished Scientist & Professor from Amity Institute of Renewable and Alternative Energy Institute deliberated upon the importance of energy conservation.
During the occasion, eminent speakers from the Corporate shared their valuable views with the gathering.
Dr. D.N Singh Chief Technical Officer from Indo Solar Ltd, spoke on the topic “Solar Electricity- A Viable Option” and deliberated upon the use of solar p-v systems and issues associated with their use.
Mr.Animesh Sukul, CEM, Civil L&T Construction, delivered a talk on “Green Civil Engineering”, focusing on energy efficient materials in construction industry.
Dr.K V Vidyanandan, AGM & Senior Faculty Member PMI, NTPC, Noida, enlightened the students on Hybrid Power generation and issues associated with its grid integration. He focused on wind solar hybrid power generation.
Mr.Vinayak Hemadri extended the vote of thanks.
Faculty members and students from all the Departments of ASET attended the event.
