UNIMORE, Italy students bid adieu to India with a promise to come back
Three week India Immersion Program (IIP) conducted by Amity University for the 17 PG students of University of Modena & Reggio Emilia(UNIMORE), Italy from Aug 31-Sept 18, 2014, concluded today at University Campus, Sector-125, Noida.
IIP is a unique program, aimed for students from abroad to provide them with an opportunity to gain an insight into India and the Indian way oflife. The program focuses on the special areas which are uniquely Indian, and includes exposure to Indian economy, scientific & business environment,heritage and culture, traditions and traditional wisdom, Indian spiritualism,the Indian people, religion, technology & development to name a few.
During the first two weeks, students undertook lectures on various modules including Indian Legal Framework, Stress Management, Indian Foreign Policy & International Relations, Travel & Tourism in India and a host of other relevant topics. During the last week they were taken for industry visits to provide them with first hand information about the operating mechanisms of Indian companies from various sectors. During their stay, a group of students from Amity were attached with Italian students as their “Buddies”,who accompanied them to historical places, sight seeing and even Industry visits
The concluding ceremony was graced by Prof. T Bursi, Prof of International Marketing, UNIMORE, Italy and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Addl. Vice Chancellor, Amity.
Sharing his views during the occasion, Prof. T Bursi, Prof of International Marketing, UNIMORE, Italy expressed his deep gratitude to Amity University and its faculty members for providing Italian students an exciting experience and informative exposure to Indian way of life. He appreciated the way the three weeks were planned for the students and applauded the concept of industry visits which provided practical knowledge to the students. He expressed that the information students have gained in India will remain in their minds and hearts throughout their lives. On behalf of University of Modena & Reggio Emilia University, he expressed a desire to strengthen the partnership and links between both the Institutions through Joint Projects, Faculty Exchange Program and more of Student Exchange Programs.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh appreciated Italian students for their curiosity, patience and excitement to learn new things in India. He thanked them for providing a valuable insight into their country, culture,traditions and values which mutually beneficial. Sharing the message of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group, he stressed that in order to become successful, one has to experience success and he urged the students to own whatever they do whether it is their family, their work or their organization which increase their dedication, ensuring success in every field.He invited the students to visit again India and Amity since both have more to be explored. He wished them luck in their future endeavors.
The Italian students shared their experience of Indian culture, traditions,cuisines, historical places during their stay and how much they enjoyed Indian hospitality.
Cristian Massicot expressed his delight and honor being chosen for Amity India Immersion Program. He stated that the program has improved his personal and professional skills and he is going back home richer.
Alberto Margini appreciated the perfect blend of various important modules which were delivered to them during the Program including Management,Ecology, Engineering and others and stated that with globalization, it has become very important for students to be updated with the global ways of doing business. He stressed that he will share the interesting and informative things that he has learnt in India with his friends in Italy.
Natascia Rioli, while sharing her views, expressed her amazement at the impressive range of Indian cuisines and the variety of aromas used int hem. She applauded the special yoga sessions with which they started their day in Amity and stressed that she will continue to practice “Yoga Asanas” in Italy as well
During the Ceremony, students were awarded Participation Certificates by the dignitaries.
