Amity University and Realty Automation & Security Systems Pvt. Ltd. signs Technology Transfer Agreement

Amity University signed a technology transfer agreement with M/s Realty Automation& Security Systems Pvt. Ltd. (RASS), Pune whereby Novel Room Temperature Sensor for detection of inflammable Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) developed in Amity University Uttar Pradesh, will be transferring to the company.

 

The agreement was signed by Mr. Nitin Joshi, MD, RASS and Dr.V. K. Jain, Distinguished Scientist & Professor, Amity University in the presence of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President – Amity Group; Dr. W Selvamurthy, President – Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, Dr. Sumil Saran, Chancellor, Amity University, Madhya Pradesh; Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University; Dr. Upinder Dhar, Group Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity and other senior officials of Amity University.

 

Using nano-material based sensing film, the battery operated room temperature LPG sensor is cost efficient and has been developed for the first time in India at Amity Institute for Advanced Research and Studies (Materials & Devices), under the expert guidance of Dr. V. K. Jain along with his scientific team, Dr. Abhishek Verma, Dr. Prashant Shukla, Dr. Devinder Madhwal, Dr. Vasuda Bhatia and Mr. Nitin Bhardwaj.

 

Briefing the gathering about the innovation, Dr. V. K. Jain said that the LPG sensor is highly sensitive, stable and has fast response/degassing time. He further added that its low cost fabrication and portability adds to the advantage of using this sensor for real time detection. Dr. Jain apprised that the Patent Application for the innovation has already been filed with the office of the Controller of Patent, Design & Trademark, Govt. of India.

 

Speaking on occasion, Mr. Nitin Joshi said that the company is glad to be associated with Amity and expressed his hope that with technology transfer arrangement, both can develop and manufacture world’s first battery powered LPG/PNG Gas Detector for residential use. He also mentioned that developed countries grow rapidly as their economy is majorly supported by technology industry. India will grow when there will be an assimilation of Make in India and Design in India. He further briefed audience about the company, Realty Automation & Security Systems Pvt. Ltd. (RASS) and said that the Company’s aim is to provide electronic safety, security, surveillance & automation solutions to customers and its promoters are associated with electronic automation field for last 20 years. Mr. Joshi commended Dr. Ashok Chauhan for his inspiring leadership as an educationist and entrepreneur.

 

During the occasion, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan welcomed Mr. Nitin Joshi to AmityFamily and conferred Honorary Professorship to him.
