Eminent Academician of Mayo Clinic Conferred with Honorary Professorship at Amity University
Recognizing the mammothcontribution of Dr. Debabrata Mukhopadhyay, Professor of Biochemistry/MolecularBiology at Mayo Clinic, in the field of tumor microenvironment, Amity Instituteof Biotechnology has conferred upon him an Honorary Professorship at Amity University,Sector 125, Noida.
Dr. Debabrata Mukhopadhyay was honored in the presence of Dr. W Selvamurthy- President, AmityScience Technology and Innovation Foundation; Dr. Krishan Lal - Principal ChiefScientist at Amity; Prof. (Dr.) B C Das - Chairman, Microbial Medicines andStem Cell Research and Dr. Ajeet Verma-Vice Chairman, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. W Selvamurthy said that Dr. Mukhopadhyay’s exceptional vision,deep commitment to research, propagation of scientific enquiry and continuousexemplary efforts in innovating and improving technology in the field ofBiotechnology is noteworthy, which makes him an apt recipient of the honoraryprofessorship. He expressed his hope that this association between Amity andDr. Mukhopadhyay will immensely benefit and strengthen the mutual relations andDr. Mukhopadhyay will proficiently mentor the faculty and students with his researchexpertise.
Upon receiving his parchment, Dr. Debabrata Mukhopadhyaya commented that he is extremely delightedwith the distinction that Amity University has bestowed upon him. He opinedthat in today’s interconnected world, internationalization is of strategicimportance and progressive educational institutions across the Globe have tocommit themselves to the mission of internationalization.
