The students of B.EdSpecial Education –Learning Disability, Mental Retardation and Autism SpectrumDisorder (Batch 2014-15) visited these esteemed institutions working in thefield of special education. The visit gave the pupil special educators an insight to acquaint professional skills related to disabilityrehabilitation and special education. The students interacted with childrenwith Intellectual Disabilities and Autism and understood the divergent needs ofeach special child. AIRS is one such institution which endeavors and continuously strivesfor excellence towards the delivery of services to the persons withdevelopmental disabilities; developing appropriate models of care for personswith developmental disabilities; and identifying, conducting and coordinatingresearch in assessment, education, training and rehabilitation of persons withdevelopmental disabilities. Its mission is to play a catalyticrole to ensure a sustainable development in the programmes of special educationin the country.
The students were escorted by Ms.Anusuya K. Yadav (Asst. Professor), Mr. Naveen Singh (Asst. Professor), Ms.Diana Lil Philip (Asst. Professor) and Ms. Seema Saleem (Teaching Assistant).
