Delegation from Australian National University Seeks Collaboration Possibilities with Amity University
A delegation from Australian National University, Australia (ANU) led byDr. Erik Lithander, Pro-Vice Chancellor (International & Outreach), The AustralianNational University, who was accompanied by Ms. Angela Watkins, Director of StudentRecruitment and Admissions, The Australian National University visited AmityCampus, Sector 125, Noida to discuss possible collaborative options with AmityUniversity.
The delegation was welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, GroupAdditional Vice Chancellor; and Mr. R M Agarwal, Additional Director GeneralACICA.
During the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh extended hiswarm welcome to the guests. He gave a brief introduction about Amity Universityand its professional and industry oriented programmes, faculty strength andexchange programs with other colleges and universities worldwide in recentyears.
Dr. Erik Lithander introduced ANU and its history, programmes, strengths and industryorientation. He stressed that ANU is ranked No.1 in Australia and has linkswith many famous universities. He further added that the vision of Amity issimilar to ANU as both the Universities emphasize on research driven education.He expressed his interest in initiating Exchange programs with Amity for PhDand Post Doctoral Programme.
During the visit, representativesfrom Amity and ANU had a detailed discussion on possible collaborative options inareas such as Business Management, Engineering, Biotechnology and Law; 3-continentprogram; providing Internship experience to students of Amity and ANU;exploring Training and Consultancy opportunities through active collaborationin industry-academic platform and Research Exchange.
The delegation was taken for a roundof campus at Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity Directorate Online Education,Central Library and ASCO studios.
