Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi organises Faculty Enrichment Programme on the theme: "Enhancement of Research Skills for Professional Development of Educators

The Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi organised a Faculty Enrichment Programme on the theme: "Enhancement of Research Skills for Professional Development of Educators" on  30th, April, 2014. There were Fifty- One (51) participants from Twenty- Two (22) colleges of NCR. These participants were primarily of Asst. Prof. level. Some of them were also Research Scholars. All these participation came from the following Eight (08) Universities.

 

1.      Amity University, Uttar Pradesh

2.      Galgotia University, Uttar Pradesh

3.      Chaudhary Charan Singh University

4.      Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka

5.      Mehwar University

6.      Maharishi Dayanand University

7.      Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Deemed to be University

8.      Indira Gandhi National University

 

In the inaugural session Prof. C.B. Sharma, Head of the Research wing from school of Education from Indira Gandhi National Open University gave the keynote address. He emphasized the need of quality work in research which needs to be seriously looked into.  We also had Prof. P.K.Kapur from Amity University for the inaugural session.

 

This Faculty Enrichment Programme (FEP) had three Technical Sessions.

 

The first Technical Session on the sub theme “Technological Development, Effective Tools & Techniques of Research” the resource person for this session was Dr. Anupama, Asst. Prof. Amity Business School, AUUP.

 

The second Technical Session was taken by Dr. Harminder Kaur Gujral, Asst. Prof. Amity Business School, AUUP on the theme “Best Practices in Innovative Research Resources”.   

 

In the third Technical Session Prof. S.K. Laroiya, Professor at Delhi University talked to the participants on the “Use of Statistical Package in Research”.    All the three Technical Sessions were taken by experienced resource persons and were very interactive.
 
The valedictory address was given by Prof. M.M. Ansari, member UGC. He also emphasized the need of good research and made a specific mention of the importance of sampling technique in quality research.
 
Prof. Ansari gave a certificate of participation to all the participants.

The FEP ended with vote of thanks.
