University of Northampton Conducts Faculty Development Programme at Amity University
AmityUniversity, as a part of the partnership with University of Northampton for 3Continental Program, Twinning Programs, Faculty Exchange and DevelopmentProgram, started a Three Day Faculty Development Programme at Amity Campus,Sector 125, Noida, wherein the Academicians and Senior Staff from University ofNorthampton will familiarize the faculty at Amity University with the rules andregulations of University of Northampton.
Dr.Mairi Watson, Deputy Dean – Development; Ms. Kathryn Kendon, Deputy Director,Student & Academy Services and Mr. Puneet Malhotra, Regional Director-SouthAsia at University of Northamptonwill share brief faculty members of Amity about Regulations & Policies,Recruitment & Admissions, Admissions Process, Student Induction, Managing Assessmentetc.
The academicians from Universityof Northampton were welcomed by Dr.Gurinder Singh, Group Addl. Vice Chancellor – Amity University, along withHOIs of Institutions and staff members.
Welcoming the guests, Dr. Gurinder Singh said that it is ahistorical day and Amity is delighted to have initiated an association withNorthampton University. He further added that the vision of Amity’s Founder-President,Dr. Ashok Chauhan, is to provide an International platform to every student ofAmity that will nurture his career and this partnership is another step towardsthe vision.
Providing a brief introduction ofUniversity of Northampton, Dr. MairiWatson said that the university is located in the heart of England and ishome to over 2000 International students from over 100 countries. She furthertalked about the Joint Programmes of University of Northampton with AmityUniversity including Management, MBA, BA in Fashion, BA inMultimedia-Journalism, BS in Computing, BA in Business Studies and Arts. Dr.Watson further invited the HOIs and staff to visit the University ofNorthampton to have an actual insight of their working, teaching and ambiance.
During the three day programme, officialsfrom University of Northampton will conduct the programme through Skype.
