Dr. Ashok Gulati -Chairman, Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices delivers lecture on "Food Security" during AIC lecture series at Amity University

Dr. Ashok Gulati -Chairman, Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) delivered lecture on the topic -"Food Security" at Amity University Campus Sector-125 Noida. This was the 137th lecture under the Amity International Centre (AIC) Lecture Series.

In his lecture Dr. Ashok Gulati said that a country can not servive with too much of gun and little bit of butter. Dr. Gulati discussed about the four pillar of food security:
1. Augmenting availability of food
2. Improving economic access of food
3. Improving absorption for better nutritional outcome.
4. Ensuring stability in food system

Dr. Gulati said the consumption pattern in rural and urban area has changed. He said that it is essential to provide stability to food system like buffer stocking operation, imports/exports but uncertainity of world market abounds.

Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group said that talk of Dr. Ashok Gulati is very important in the current agriculture scenario.
