Amity Centre for Extension Services organised One-day Awareness - cum –Training Programme on Sodic Soil Reclamation and Management. Dr. D.K. Sharma, Director - CSSRI, Karnal, Dr. A.C. Sharma, Vice Director - Agriculture, Gautam Budh Nagar, Mr. Manjeet Singh Chauhan, Member, Advisory Committee, Dr. Sunil Saran, Vice Chairman, ASTIF, Mr. K.S Bains, Director General, Amity Institute of Training & Development, Dr. N.P. Singh, Director, Amity Centre for Extension Services inaugurated the training program.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. D.K. Sharma, Director - CSSRI, Karnal said that around 7.6 million hectare land is facing sodic problems. To solve this problem, Government of India had established Central Sodic Soil Research Institure at Karnal.
More that 45 farmers from Delhi NCR participated in this program.
