Amity School of Natural Resources & Sustainable Development organised three Day Workshop on “Capacity Building Training on NTFP bases sustainable livelihood generation in rainfed areas” at MDP Conference Hall, F-2 Block, Amity University Campus, Sector - 125 Noida.
The Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. R.K. Jain, Principal Scientist and Head, Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Avikanagar, Rajasthan, Maj. Gen K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Prof. B.K.P. Sinha, Director, Amity School of Natural Resources & Sustainable Development.
Inaugural sesison was followed by two technical sessions. During the first technical session Dr. R.K. Jain, Principal Scientist and Head, Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Avikanagar, Rajasthan presented his talk on Pasture developing in arid and semi-arid areas in Northern India. Dr. B.K.P. Sinha, Director - ASNRSD shared his thoughts on NTFP definition, issues in its management and strategy for sustainable livelihood.
During second technical session Mr. Kameshwar Ojha, Deputy Director General (NBM), Ministry of Agriculture shared his thoughts on Bamboo incontext of livelihood. Prof. P. Bhattacharya, Dean, University School of Environment Management, GGS Indraprastha University presented his talk on Sustainable livelihood through NTFP. Mr. Anupam Jalote, CEO, Green Oil Energy Sciences Pvt. Ltd. shared his thoughts on Market and valur chain of NTFP.
Scientists, researchers, academicians and Senior officials of Amity University were present during the workshop.
