Amity International Business School (AIBS) organized Industry Visit to ICD, Tughlakabad Port
Amity International Business School (AIBS) organized an Industry visit to ICD, Tughlakabad Port, for its MBA IB final year students to help them get real experience of the export-import procedures. A brief introduction on the export-import documentation procedures was presented by
Mr. O.P. Singh, Manager, Customs during the visit.
The visit was further followed by visits to the warehouse (live inspection of the shipment by the inspection officers) as well as the yard wherein the session focused broadly on containerization of shipment including Unloading and loading of Containers that are brought to the port via railway, Stuffing of the goods into containers after inspection, understanding of symbols and signs written on containers, knowing different kinds of containers, understanding few norms of Container Corporation of India etc.
The visit proved to be highly beneficial for students seeking career in export and imports. During the visit students had the opportunity to apply their subject knowledge with the practical work scenario at the ports.
