Amity Centre for Science Olympiads begins week long Science and Mathematics Olympiad Workshop

Amity Centre for Science Olympiads kick started week long Science and Mathematics Olympiad Workshop from October 1 at Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida.

The aim of Science and Mathematics Olympiad is to encourage young students to strive for excellence in Science and Mathematics and to promote friendship among students, teachers and scientists from different parts in India and the world. Amity Centre for Science Olympiads (ACSO) is conducted under the aegis of Amity Institute for Competitive Examinations (AICE) students are trained for various competitive examinations by able faculty members of AICE.

Over 120 students from different schools across Delhi/NCR including D.P.S R.K Puram,D.P.S Sonepat, Mount Carmel School,Apeejay Noida, Ramjas School, Heritage School,Sanskriti School,Sardar Patel Vidalaya,Manas School,Indirapuram School, Dehradun Public School, K.V Sector-2 R.K Puram, K V Tagore Garden School and the entire fraternity of Amity International Schools are participating in the Olympiads to bring laurels to their school & parents.

The expert faculty members who would be teaching students during the Olympiad include Dr. Ravi Bhattacharya- Physics Faculty, Khalsa College, Dr. Bapat- Department of Mathematics, ISI New Delhi, Dr. S.V Esvaran- HOD of Chemistry, St. Stephens College, Dr. Deepak Chandra- Physics Department, Khalsa College and Dr. Rakesh Bhardwaj- Physics faculty, Maharaja Agritam College.

Alongwith the theoretical knowledge, lab visits in various departments of Amity such as Amity Institute of Nano Technology, Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity institute Of Advanced Research Studies(M&D), Amity Institute Of Bio- Technology are also organized for the students to enhance their knowledge pool.
