Amity University in association with Rotary Blood Bank organises Blood Donation Camp

Life is precious and what makes it sustainable is the blood, which has no substitute. It is required regularly round the clock to save human life as there are more blood seekers than donors. Annual requirement of blood in Delhi is approximately 350,000 units.

To motivate and familiarize students with the importance of voluntary blood donation, Amity University, Rotary Club - Delhi City and Rotary Blood Bank jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp at Amity Campus, Sector- 125 Noida.

Lauding the noble initiative of donors and students, Rotarian Mr. Alok Mittal, President, Rotary Club - Delhi City said that nothing is more ennobling and satisfying than to donate blood to save someone else life. But there are very less people who understand this and come forward to contribute their might in this life saving effort. He called upon people to understand the importance of regular, voluntary and non- remunerated blood donation which can avert a significant number of deaths.

Rotarian Mr. Sandeep Vaish, Secretary, Rotary Club - Delhi City, Ms. Sonu Singh, Rotary Blood Bank, Dr. Balwinder Shukla, Pro VC (A), AUUP, Lt. Gen. A.K. Lamba, Dean Students Welfare, AUUP motivated and blessed the donors during the blood donation camp.

Approximately 500 units of blood were collected during the camp.
